FAQs

Many students and their families find the college selection and application process overwhelming. There is no “one size fits all” path to success, and each student’s journey is unique. My mission is to provide personalized, caring, and professional guidance as you and your child navigate the college application process.

I take the time to get to know your child, their strengths, interests, and what they’re looking for in a college. My job is to listen and learn their needs and wants and provide you with expertise and personalized guidance. I provide reliable information and manage the process so you can enjoy this time with your child.

Each student is unique in their needs. Some students will need more help with a specialized list of colleges, while others need more support writing essays. Each package is customized to fit your teen’s needs. Below is an estimate of how students dedicate their time:

  • 2-3 hours – Complete initial assessments and conversations.
  • 4-5 hours – Career and major exploration, create a college list that is a good fit academically, socially, and financially.
  • 5-7 hours – Interview prep, summer internship search and application assistance, waitlist guidance, financial aid and scholarship guidance, FASFA completion support, and navigating decisions at the end of the process.
  • (# of colleges x 1.25 hours) – Brainstorming, drafting, and revising essays and applications. Most students apply to 9-14 schools.
